Insurance
Our physicians are board certified in osteopathic manipulative treatment and provide hands-on osteopathic treatments. Please check your policy for coverage as we are considered Tier 2 specialists. We do not provide primary care.
Please bring your insurance card to your appointment. We participate with most major insurance companies as a specialty practice. If you have questions regarding your coverage, please contact your insurance company prior to your appointment.
If you have an HMO, you will likely need a referral from your primary care physician. The referral must be in place prior to your appointment.
Please note: some insurance companies will not pay for two treatment modalities on the same day (e.g., osteopathic treatment and physical therapy). Please try not to schedule other treatments on the same day as your appointment at OHM.
- Co-payments must be paid at the time of service.
- We do not accept Medicaid or MaineCare.

Motor Vehicle Injuries
If your injury is the result of a motor vehicle accident, please bring your own motor vehicle medical payment information to your first appointment. We do not bill third parties. Your insurance company is responsible for negotiating payment with the other party.

Worker’s Compensation Injuries
If your injury or illness is work-related, please bring all the necessary billing information, including the date of injury, the claim number, and the contact information for any case/nurse managers or attorneys assigned to the case.
